Nashville Breast Augmentation
People choose to have a breast augmentation for numerous reasons. If you have underdeveloped breasts, breasts of different size, or have seen changes in your breast size and shape due to pregnancy then the procedure may be right for you. Breast augmentation can provide you with a very effective cosmetic enhancement and instill new confidence. We encourage you to set-up a consultation with Dr. Fisher to discuss how you would like to change your appearance.
Your Consultation
During your first appointment, Dr. Fisher will talk with you in detail about what you hope to accomplish. He will then perform a breast examination taking into consideration the condition of your breasts, your skin elasticity, and your expectations, Dr. Fisher can then recommend what procedure would be right for you. If you are experiencing sagging breasts, he may recommend a breast lift in conjunction with your breast augmentation.
During your initial consultation, Dr. Fisher will also want to discuss the following topics with you.
Breast Implant Type: Saline or Silicone. Dr. Fisher only uses FDA-approved breast implants. He will have examples of the implants in his office for you to evaluate during your breast augmentation consultation.
Breast Implant Size: Dr. Fisher believes that one size does not fit all. Based on your body type, he will suggest what he thinks would be best taking into account what you hope to accomplish. Again, you will be able to see different size implants during your consultation.
Breast Implant Incision: During your consultation, Dr. Fisher will also explain the different incision points he uses and determine which is best for you.
Your Surgery
Prior to your surgery, Dr. Fisher will give you preoperative and post operative instructions to follow. To be prepared for your breast augmentation surgery and make the recovery process easier, we suggest you follow these instructions closely. The breast augmentation surgery including recovery will take approximately one hour. You will be given a general anesthesia which means you will be asleep during the procedure.
Your Recovery
You will feel some moderate discomfort after your breast augmentation for the first 2-3 days. One week after your breast augmentation surgery, your sutures will be removed. You will probably be able to resume exercise in 2-3 weeks but you cannot do any heavy lifting for the first two weeks.
