Nashville Brow Lift Surgery
The Forehead Lift, or Brow Lift, will improve forehead creases, drooping eyebrows, a furrowed brow, and frown lines by removing excess skin from your forehead. The outcome is a more relaxed and youthful appearance. Dr. Fisher may recommend the Brow Lift be done in conjunction with additional facial rejuvenation surgeries to achieve a more harmonious facial appearance.
Dr. Fisher believes the best candidates for a forehead lift surgery are people who are in relatively good health and have realistic expectations about what a forehead lift can accomplish. Forehead lift patients generally exhibit one of the following characteristics: a sagging or low position of the eyebrows, a deep, horizontal crease across your forehead, or frown lines, or furrows between the eyebrows. While these are common conditions, the only way to know if you are indeed a candidate is to come in for a consultation with Dr. Fisher.
Your Consultation
During your consultation, Dr. Fisher will talk to you about what you hope to achieve from the Forehead Lift. He will answer any questions you have as well as discuss the procedure in detail. He will then conduct an examination to determine if the forehead surgery would be right for you. Dr. Fisher can than review the brow lift method he recommends, recovery time, and associated risks. You should plan to spend about one hour with Dr. Fisher.
Your Surgery
Dr. Fisher will give you preoperative and post operative instructions to follow. It is imperative that you follow these directions to be prepared for your surgery and make your recovery process smoother. The forehead lift surgery is done on an outpatient basis and takes approximately 2 hours to complete. You will be under a general anesthetic which means you will be asleep for the procedure.
Your Recovery Process
The incisions of your forehead lift are usually concealed within your hairline. You will experience some tightness for 1-2 weeks after the surgery. You may also experience eyebrows which seem to be slightly over elevated but this will correct itself within 1-2 weeks. If you have problems or questions after the surgery, do not hesitate to call Dr. Fisher to discuss in detail.
